and the gunslinger followed. The desert was the apotheosis of all deserts, huge, standing to the sky for what might have been parsecs in all directions. White; blinding; waterless; without feature save for the faint, cloudy haze of the mountains which sketched themselves on the horizon and the devil-grass which brought sweet dreams, nightmares, death. An occasional tombstone sign pointed the way, for once the drifted track that cut its way through the thick crust of alkali had been a highway and coaches had followed it. The world had moved on since then. The world had emptied.

As I bet you can tell by my artwork, I am quite a beginner on here. I'm just hoping to take a stab at creations inspired by some of my favorite things.   Music, movies, & books. Besides being a huge U2 fanatic, I love all kinds of music, especially 70's & 80's eras.  I hope my quotes are as inspiring to others as they are to me. In addition, I am a Dark Tower junkie. I love all  things by Stephen King. I like fantasy & sci-fi, and true crime stories. Books are the ultimate escape. I would appreciate any comments or advice, in particular in reference to making better photos on here. The text seems limited to black opaque or white/
